Health and Social Care

The United Kingdom’s Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) is probably the greatest in the world, with a substantial budget, and set to increase for the coming years, particularly in resource spending, to support the NHS and social care services. In 2024/25, the total budget is set to increase to £192 billion, an increase of £1.1 billion on 2023/24 when adjusted for inflation. The DHSC’s budget is allocated to various areas, including NHS England for healthcare services, central budgets for departmental administration, and funding for arms-length bodies like the UK Health Security Agency.
